Four people have been arrested and security measures have been taken against them, after they are suspected of raping a 30-year-old woman, who is part of their family, because the latter requested a divorce.

The citizens who were arrested are: AA, 34 years old, the 30-year-old's brother, and SA, 54 years old, her uncle, both residents of Tirana. They were caught and located with the help of the services of Police Commissariat No. 3 in Tirana.

Meanwhile, the security measure "House arrest" was executed for citizen EM, 51 years old, resident of Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty", as he is suspected of having collaborated in this event.

According to the investigation, on January 10, 2026, these individuals, due to a family conflict related to the 30-year-old's divorce request, forcibly held her in a vehicle and then raped her.

The materials have been forwarded for further action to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra.
