The small Spanish town of Bigastro is shocked by the death of a 2-year-old boy whose body was bruised. The child was raped by his mother, who was identified by the Spanish media as Hatixhe Kamxhiu.

The matter was initially treated as an accident, but seeing that the injuries did not match the mother's version, it was considered a death caused by violence.

The mother of the child is already in jail, accused of killing one of her children and injuring the other twin.

The 32-year-old mother initially stated that the child had fallen from a high chair, local media in Spain report.

Initially, the neighbors expressed regret for the Albanian mother, as they thought that one of her children had suffered a fatal accident.

Hatixhe Kamxhiu called the emergency room on June 11 to report the accident, as she was alone with the children in her house.

But, doctors confirmed that the 2-year-old had died due to cardiorespiratory arrest.

As for his twin brother, there were some signs that testified to the mother's mistreatment.

Khadija had no criminal record, but had previously lost custody of the juveniles due to drug addiction.

Neighbors portray her as a lonely woman with few friends.

"She was always very nervous scolding her children for everything," says a neighbor.

Many residents suspected that something was wrong because "she always yelled at the children", although they did not imagine the end.

In one case even, one of the neighbors had noticed that the two children had bite marks.

The mother is justified in saying they have bitten each other.

There is even evidence that shows how the older sister had told them that Khadija always slept with the same twin, as he was "her favorite".

 

The mother of the twins had had some sentimental relations since she arrived in the city and according to the neighbors, "no one knows who the father of two children is".

Khadija also has a 9-year-old daughter, who, according to neighbors, lives with her paternal grandparents.
