A physical clash between Democratic Party supporters occurred this evening in Elbasan as Sali Berisha was holding the closing meeting, leaving the son of Luçiano Boçi, the former political leader of the DP in this region, injured in the head.

Parid Boçi was injured in the violent clash, suffering a cut to his head during the fight, but without serious consequences.

The young man is reportedly being treated at the Elbasan Regional Hospital.

According to the Elbasan branch of the Democratic Party, a group of young people had decided to set off fireworks on the stadium terrace, but the guard did not let them enter.

While negotiations were being held with the manager of Elbasan Arena to allow entry, a clash with the stadium guard also occurred.

But other sources within the DP in Elbasan say that sympathizers have clashed with each other, as the internal struggle for votes has culminated in tension, degrading during this closing meeting.
