Four injured after ambulance collides with truck in "Fier-Lushnje"

An accident occurred a few minutes ago on the Fier-Lushnje axis, at the place called "Vajkan Intersection".

It is reported that a truck collided with an ambulance, and as a result of the strong collision, four people were injured, two of whom were in the ambulance, who were urgently transported to the Fier Regional Hospital where they are receiving medical assistance.

The 4 injured were in the ambulance at the time of the collision, more precisely the patient with mental problems, his father, the nurse and a police officer.

It is initially suspected that the truck cut off the ambulance. Sources from the hospital indicate that the condition of the injured is good except for the police officer, who suffered an injury to one leg.

Meanwhile, the police, ambulance and the investigation team, which is working to clarify the causes of this accident, immediately went to the scene. In the meantime, a long queue of vehicles has also formed as a result of the traffic jam.

At around 14:50, on the "Fier-Lushnjë" road axis, in the place called "Vajkan", a road accident occurred where a "Truck" type vehicle driven by citizen Ilir Seitaj and an ambulance driven by citizen Jemin Tare collided.

As a result of the collision, the patient, citizen Genci Zylyftari, 38 years old, and the people who accompanied the patient from the Vlora psychiatric hospital to the apartment, citizen Esat Zylyftari, 74 years old, resident of Skrapar, the patient's father, citizen Hatem Bakillari, 54 years old, police officer at the Skrapar Police Station (SPZ), and citizen Taulant Mekollari, resident of Çorovodë, nurse, were injured, who are in the hospital, under the care of doctors, out of danger to their lives.

The investigation team is at the scene and is continuing to determine the cause of the accident.
