Army trucks to transfer cocaine from Fieri to Tirana

A joint operation of the DEA, the Albanian police and the anti-drug unit of Montenegro led to the discovery of a cocaine laboratory in Frakull of Fier.

The drugs were processed by two Colombians, who used the apartment of the former mayor Viktor Červanaku as a workplace. The latter currently works as a director in OST.

Over 50 bags were taken out of Cervanak's house. The cocaine was transported in army trucks.

Police sources said that so far about 400 kg of chemical fertilizer mixed with cocaine have been discovered. The shipment had come from Colombia. She had been brought for a long time, but SPAK and partners had been observing her for 3 months.

The same sources said that more than 60 State Police officers were involved. Although there are no names, it is believed that around 15 people have been arrested so far. Among them there are also drug buyers, transporters and processors.

The Albanian police have not given an official announcement regarding the names of the arrested and the suspected amount of seized cocaine.
