Two citizens from Tirana have been caught by the Saranda border police services with 5 Chinese citizens in an attempt to help them cross the border to Greece.

According to sources from the Saranda Border Police, it is known that at around 9:00 PM on Tuesday, on the Shkalla-Konispol road, two taxi vehicles were found, with license plates AH233T and AK769T, driven by Erald Islamaj, 26 years old, and Armand Zekaj, 45 years old, both residents of Tirana, where a search of their vehicles found 5 Chinese citizens aged 38-55 who were going to transport them to Greece.

For this, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda, where the two taxi drivers, citizens Erald Islamaj and Armand Zekaj, were prosecuted at large for the criminal offense of "Providing assistance for illegal border crossing".

At the same time, proceedings were initiated for the five Chinese citizens in their free state for the criminal offense of "Illegal crossing of the state border."
