A worker died on the evening of January 17 at the construction site at Vlora airport.

The victim,  Nusret Xhoka  (60 years old) from Dibra, was hit by a pickup truck driven by 63-year-old  Rrahman Sllamniku from Pristina .

Both were employed by the company " 2A Group " at Vlora airport.

The truck hit the driver, Nusret Xhoka, who had just gotten out of the heavy-duty vehicle, and as a result, he died on the spot.

Vlora police said they have arrested a 63-year-old man, suspected of driving a pickup truck, losing control of it and crashing into a trailer.

Police announcement:

The Crime Investigation Specialists at the Vlora Police Station arrested citizen Rr. S., 63 years old, resident of Pristina, Kosovo, on suspicion that on 17.01.2025, at around 21:20, at the Vlora Airport construction site, while driving a pickup truck, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a trailer.

As a result, the driver of the trailer, citizen N. Xh., 60 years old, resident of Dibër, lost his life.

We recall that the works on the Vlora International Airport are being carried out by two successful Kosovar businessmen.
