A domestic crime occurred today in Orikum, Vlora, where a man raped his wife to death and then killed himself.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. 

Llogora Xhebroi, 52, after raping his wife Sose Xhebroie, 48, sent her to the emergency room in serious condition, where signs of violence (on the throat) and body were found.

The 48-year-old then returned to her apartment where she died.

Meanwhile, police services have found Llogara Xhebroi committing suicide in the garage with a firearm, and a Glock firearm and a 9 mm caliber cartridge were found near his body.

The couple has had problems and have been on the verge of divorce before. The 48-year-old is believed to have been raped by her husband, while they are parents to two adult sons.

The investigative group under the direction of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office is at the scene and is working to document and clarify the circumstances of this event.

Police announcement:

Orikum/Preliminary information/ Today, at around 13:30, a notification was received from the medical emergency that a citizen, in Orikum, was found without signs of life and with signs of violence in her apartment. From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen S. Xh., 40 years old, was killed by her husband, citizen Ll. Xh., 50 years old.

After the checks carried out by the Police services in the area surrounding this apartment, the perpetrator of this incident, citizen Ll. Xh, was found in the garage, suspected of having committed suicide by firearm.

The pistol found at the scene was seized as evidence.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to fully document the circumstances of this event.
