The name of the Lezha police officer is revealed, who turns out to have been taken as a defendant by the prosecutor Francesk Ganaj, because he is accused of raping Aldi Rama, who after leaving prison killed the police officer, Saimir Hoxha, with a firearm. According to the investigative file, Myrteza Mehmetaj is currently charged by the Lezha Prosecutor's Office with "Committing arbitrary actions", although the defendant has left the service at the Lezha police station and now works as a specialist in the Prison Police, near the Fushë-Krujë prison.

" During the time when Mehmetaj was on duty as a police officer at the Lezha police station and during the arrest procedures of Aldi Rama, he exercised physical violence against the latter. The case was followed by the Internal Control Service, who at that time requested a forensic examination of 21-year-old Aldi Rama. In the expertise's report, the doctors concluded that Rama's body was injured as a result of the violence exercised in the internal premises of the Lezha police station , ”the file reads, among other things.

An investigation was even launched into the matter by the then Internal Affairs and Complaints Service, whose agents launched a practice of escorting and arresting Rama. The deceased himself accused three police officers of being involved in his rape at the police station, but no other names are known.

Aldi Rama executed the effective Saimir Hoxha during an anti-cannabis operation that the latter was conducting in Lezha, on September 29, 2021. Afterwards, he left the scene, but RENEA forces surrounded him. While waiting to be handcuffed, Rama shot himself. After more than 5 hours of searching, he was found with a bullet in the head by the Police. But he passed away the next day at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
