The perpetrator and the victim

The person you see in the photo below is the 40-year-old Albanian Viron Karabollaj. He stabbed to death his ex-wife Vera Myrta, 37 years old, together with her partner Flonino Merkuri, 23 years old, in the apartment where they lived in Italy.

After committing the double crime, he then killed himself making the incident even more shocking. In the late evenings of Sunday, he entered the apartment where the Albanian couple lived to kill them.

Upon arriving at the scene, investigators found a firearm and a knife. The two cohabitants were killed with a knife, Italian media reports. For several years, Vera had moved to Spinea where she lived with her husband, but their story came to an end about 2 years ago.

After that, he started a romance with compatriot Flonino Merkuri, but it is suspected that the 40-year-old's jealousy caused the crime. Meanwhile, investigations are continuing.
