This visit was seen as an intervention and a form of pressure by the vice president of the Macedonian Alliance for Integration, Eftim Mitrevski.

Mitrevski says that it is not normal to intervene in this way in internal affairs. According to him, " Bulgarians do not appear in any document of the Albanian state and the ambassador's visit is completely wrong ."

" It is completely abnormal, it is interference in the internal affairs of this country, both the visit of the Bulgarian ambassador and the visit of the vice president of Bulgaria that came 4-5 days ago. She had to be expelled from Albania, she had to be given an ultimatum to leave the Albanian state and go outside the border.

How does the Albanian state allow such personalities, now at the time of the Census, to come and exercise propaganda. We are Albanian citizens, we are celebrating 100 years since this Albanian state recognized us with institutions. In no document of the Albanian state do Bulgarians appear and the visit of the Bulgarian ambassador is completely wrong.

This is pressure. The arrival of the Bulgarian vice-president, the visit of the ambassador and some emissaries who come to our municipality, is pressure that is put on Albanian citizens with Macedonian identity.

Yes, it is true that the Bulgarian flag was raised in Pustec. This happened in August, on the feast of baptism. Bulgarians have wasted books, calendars in the middle of the year, God only knows.

But we, as citizens of the Albanian state, with Macedonian identity, seek protection from the Albanian state. The Albanian state must come forward and say that these are tax payers, that we have recognized these institutionally as Macedonians and they are citizens of this state.

Ky shtet ka organizuar me se miri një Census, për te gjithë qytetaret ne Shqipëri për te ditur efektin e reformave qe zhvillohen ne territorin e Shqipërisë dhe eshët keq te keqpërdoren komunitetet dhe bashkësitë etnike ne ketë shtet”, tha Mitrevski.

Në përgjigje të kësaj akuze ka reaguar menjëherë edhe vetë ambasadori bullgar, Ivaylo Kirov, i cili jashtë kamerave lidhur me donacionet e sjella në spitalin e Pustecit, tha se nuk kanë lidhje me zhvillimin e Censit. Sipas tij, Bullgaria nuk lufton për numra në Pustec.

“Nuk duam të luftojmë me vëllezërit të Maqedonisë së Veriut”, mësohet të ketë thënë ai.

Më tej ka shtuar se nuk janë të shqetësuar për censin por duhet të ndryshojnë mënyrën sesi njerzit mendojnë për Bullgarinë.
