The criminalistics expert is arrested in Korça

The Police Surveillance Agency has today arrested a deputy commissioner, criminal expert, in the city of Korça. 

The deputy commissioner, identified as Fatmir Balaj, 49 years old, with the duties of Criminal Specialist in the Computer Examinations Sector at the Scientific Police Institute, has hidden, alienated and replaced computer devices (USB), which would serve as the main evidence in documenting the criminal activity of a private entity, put under investigation for the criminal offense "Computer Fraud", through the Forex platform (call center).

It was the Court of Korça that ordered the arrest of Balaj, who is now accused of the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty" and "False expertise".

"The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region), after investigations conducted under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Korçë, has executed the personal security measure "Arrest in prison", decided by the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, against the police officer, K/Commissar FB, 49 years old, with the duty of Criminalistic Specialist in the Computer Examinations Sector at the Scientific Police Institute, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "False expertise". The determination of the security measure was made possible after the conducted investigations
 
provided evidence and facts that this police officer, using the organic function, hid, alienated and replaced the computer equipment (USB), the object of computer expertise, which to serve as the main scientific evidence in the documentation with legal evidence of the criminal activity of a private entity, criminally prosecuted for the criminal offenses "Computer Fraud", through the Forex platform (call center)", - announces AMP.
