At 14.00 in the Special Appeal, the decision is announced for the former mayor Safet Gjici as well as for Alma Kaçi.

After listening to both sides, the second instance will decide whether to accept or dismiss the request of Gjic, who claims innocence, contesting the sentence given by the Special Court.

However, at the time when the announcement of the decision is expected today, the former mayor Gjici has been admitted to a private hospital in the capital, after having health problems.

In the last session, the special prosecutor's office demanded from the black squads the punishment of Gjic and Alma Kaç.

Specifically, the sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison to the former mayor of Kukes for the charge of corruption and abuse of office, expressing disagreement about the change of the charge from the first degree, as well as the sentence of Alma Kaçi to 1 year and 5 months in prison. Both benefit from summary judgment.

The lawyers, on the other hand, demand innocence for Gjici and Alma Kaçi.

GJKKO has sentenced the former mayor of Kuka to 3 years in prison for abuse of office, while Kačin to 1 year and 6 months, reduced to 1 year in prison due to a shortened trial, for the charge of "Prostitution".
