The three main fields of study: Business, medicine and engineering, 64% of the number of students

The branches of Business, Medicine and Engineering are the 3 main fields of study with the highest number of students.

According to official INSTAT data, 64% of students over the years have chosen the fields of business, health and construction.

Specifically, in the academic year 2023-2024, 28 thousand 510 students are enrolled in higher education in the field of business, administration and law, followed by the field of study, health and well-being with 24,410 students, and engineering, production and construction with 23 thousand students.

According to experts, this approach of students to these fields of study is also related to the fact of the high demands of the labor market in these fields, where construction is already the main source of income in the country, based on the high number of constructions.

While health is also the field where the employment opportunities are higher due to the numerous departures of white shirts abroad and the country's need for doctors. Women make up the highest number of young people attending higher studies.
