The Kukës police have handcuffed a lawyer, accused of exerting illegal influence, in order to ease the security measure for a detainee.

The lawyer AC, who in 2021 when he was an employee at the Kukes Prosecutor's Office, illegally influenced the easing of the measure for the citizen FI, has fallen into the hands of the police.

For the 38-year-old, the security measure "Arrest in prison" has been assigned, for the criminal offense "Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions".

The procedural materials were passed to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime, for further actions.
