Today, the Secretary General of the Greek Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Theoharis Lalakos, will come to Albania. With the instructions of the Foreign Minister of Greece, Nikos Dendias, he will receive information about the arrest of Fredi Beleri.

Together with the Greek ambassador to Albania, they are planning a meeting with Fredi Beleri and Pandeli Kokaveshi, information about the conditions of imprisonment and the state of health, as well as they will decide the next steps to deal with the incident.

We remind you that the arrest of Fredi Beleri, representative of the coalition 'Bashkë Fitomjem' for the municipality of Himara, which is now the winner, brought harsh reactions in Albanian politics and in the Greek government.

The latter announced protest notes for Albania, while calling for Beler's release.
