Former Minister of Local Government and former Deputy Mayor of Tirana, Arbjan Mazniku, appeared today at the Criminal Court to testify regarding the '5D' file.
At the beginning of his testimony, Mazniku denied any contact or acquaintance with Nestor Muhametllari, the businessman accused of the 5D file.
Muhametllari is the businessman who bought and owns 100 percent of the company's shares.
Meanwhile, he admitted that he had good working relationships with the two former directors of the Tirana municipality, Redi Molla, Mariglen Qato and Taulant Tusha.
Mazniku: In the years 2019 - 2021 I was the deputy mayor of Tirana. With the signature of the mayor, I was the head of the contracting authority. The head of the contracting authority signs at the end and the documents were compiled by the members. I do not know Nestor Muhametllari, I know Redi Molle, Qato and Tushe and I have had very good working relationships. I have had constant contact with them, I have never talked to them about Nestor Muhametllari.
SPAK: Have you refused any procedure?
Maznik: Never.
We recall that at the end of 2024, SPAK closed the investigations and sent the former directors of the Tirana Municipality, included in the 5D file, for trial.
