Turkish cryptocurrency boss Faruk Fatih Ozer will be extradited to Turkey to stand trial for a $2 billion fraud. He risks being sentenced to 40,000 years in prison in his country, so lawyers have insisted that he have a proper legal process in Albania.

On November 17, the Court of Elbasan ordered the extradition of the Turkish citizen Faruk Ozer. The decision was not accepted and was appealed to the Court of Appeal in Durrës, which also has jurisdiction. After the hearings were postponed several times, the decision was recently made to extradite Faruk Ozer.

Ozer escaped in April 2021, and it was later reported that he had traveled to four different countries, including Albania, where he was allegedly hiding for a while. Our country's police were even reported to have offered a reward of 10,000 euros to anyone who could provide information that would lead to his capture.

In the summer of this year, after more than a year of stay in Albania, the Turkish cryptocurrency boss was arrested in Palasa in the company of a girl and other people with Albanian orgy. The operative intervened in the luxury villa and handcuffed him in flagrante delicto.

The prosecution body in Turkey has requested a full 40,564 years in prison for Faruk Ozer and 20 other employees of the "Thodex" company, who left after bankruptcy with the money stolen from over 700 thousand citizens, and it is believed to be over 2 billion dollars .
