Pogradec police arrested 3 people in the act under the charge of narcotics trafficking in collaboration. One of them is 28-year-old Erisa Fero, an employee of the National Agency of the Information Society.

She, and two boys from Kruja, one 17 years old and the second 32 years old, had transported 58 kilograms of narcotic plants from Tirana to Qafë Thane, where two other people, already wanted, were waiting to traffic them to North Macedonia. Today's intervention is considered the thirteenth phase of the anti-drug operation named "Restart".

The police published details in an announcement, according to which the traffic was planned to be carried out through the Lin village area, but the law enforcement forces intervened and seized 58 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis in the trunk of the vehicle coming from Tirana.

A year ago, Fero and 20 election commissioners were sued by the Central Election Commission at the Tirana prosecutor's office for vote manipulation in the elections of April 25, 2021. The CEC found that the counting committee, where she was a member, falsified the results./ VOA

Today, the Pogradec court has set the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for 28-year-old Erisa Fero, Likmet Basha and 17-year-old MK. The prosecution has requested for the three arrested. They are accused of international drug trafficking.
