Namik Simixhiu, who is in prison for the Tirana incinerator, appealed to the Supreme Court the decision of the Special Appeal, which returned him to the cell.

The three judges composed of Ilir Panda, Albana Boksi and Medi Bici rejected the appeal presented by Simixhiu, leaving in force the decision of the Appeal, dated July 5 of this year.

The first instance set Simixhiu free, changing the measure from "prison arrest" to "house arrest", a decision which was contested by the Special Prosecutor's Office.

Spak appealed the decision of GJKKO in Appeal and asked for Simixhiu's return to the cell, a request that was accepted by the black squads.

Namik Simixhiu was arrested on December 8, 2023, where SPAK issued 15 arrest warrants for the Tirana incinerator.

The latter was a member of the commission for the concession of the Tirana incinerator, together with Pëllumb Abesh, Erjon Murataj, Sidita Temal, Etleva Kodin and Taulant Tushen, while the chairman was Valbona Ballgjini.
