The AKU has blocked a truck with 25 tons of corn coming from Serbia.

It is learned that the blockade occurred at the Hani i Hoti customs while the truck was entering Albania from Montenegro.

The reason for stopping the corn truck was the presence of aplatoxin B1 in the quantity of corn, which exceeded the permitted norms for Albania.

This norm is permissible for EU countries, but not in Albania because there are other norms.

As reported, the final destination was the city of Elbasan, and it is about rejected livestock corn.

Meanwhile, the action is continuing, while other quantities of corn are expected to be seized because procedures are being carried out at the Hani i Hoti customs.

It is also reported that the AKU has also blocked a dairy farm in the village of Trush, Shkodra municipality, due to several irregularities found there.
