The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has decided to temporarily ban the practice of law for Besart Logu, who is under investigation for the criminal offense of "exercising illegal influence".

In a decision announced today by Judge Florjan Kalaja, the Court of Appeal changed the previous security measure issued by the first instance, applying Article 243 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The new prohibitory measure prohibits Logu from practicing as a lawyer, pending the completion of the investigations.

"A temporary ban on the practice of the legal profession for citizen BL is ordered," the court's official announcement states, which has also ordered the official notification of the National Chamber of Advocates of this measure.

Currently, Besart Logu is under "house arrest", but the temporary ban from practicing his profession is expected to have a direct impact on his legal activity and the representation of clients.
