An accident occurred on the Korça - Pogradec axis, near Maliqi.

A vehicle hit the pedestrian, who died at the scene.

"In the early hours of the morning, on the "Pogradec-Korça" road, the vehicle driven by citizen D. Xh., hit citizen EM, 43 years old, a pedestrian, who died at the scene as a result of the collision," the police announced.

The driver of the vehicle, citizen D. Xh., was escorted to the Police Station premises for further action.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to determine the circumstances and cause of the accident.
