A serious accident occurred on the morning of this Friday, January 2nd in Attica, on Markopoulo Street, near the Municipal Stadium, where a 23-year-old Albanian lost his life.

According to information reported by Protothema, the car the young man was driving went off the road, crashed into a concrete wall of a house and then overturned. The impact was very strong, as can be seen in the photo, the wall broke and the car overturned.

Five firefighters who immediately went with two vehicles managed to get the young man out of the car, but he was without signs of life. The 23-year-old was transported by EKAV ambulance to the Markopoulos Health Center and then to the "Georgios Gennimatas" hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

"Words are few in the face of this tragedy," wrote Markopoulos' deputy mayor, Giannis Aidiniotis, in a post, expressing the local community's grief over the loss of the young man's life.
