A serious road accident was recorded on Friday evening on the Elbasan-Cërrik axis, in the village of Mjekës.

The accident involved two vehicles, a "Benz" and a "Volkswagen Caddy". As a result of the violent collision, the driver of the "Benz" died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was urgently transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.

Police forces and an investigation team have arrived at the scene, working to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident.
