While SPAK has appealed to the Supreme Court and is seeking to return him to prison, just a few months after the Appeal Court of Kosovo released him with the argument that the detention period had expired, former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, has not been found at his address.
Through the public announcement dated April 17, it is reported that notification of the recourse was impossible through the postal service, since the communication receipt was returned with the note "removed".
The Special Prosecution Office claims that it disagrees with the interpretation of the February 2026 decision for Lefter Koka and requests the Supreme Court to return him to prison.
The former minister was arrested in 2021 for the incinerators, accused of abuse of office, money laundering and corruption, and was sentenced with decisions that have not yet become final, for the file of the incinerators of Fier, Elbasan and Tirana.
