The Tirana court has ordered today a prison sentence for 31-year-old Armando Papa from Fushë Kruja, after three days ago he was caught with 62 packages of heroin in the "Benz" car he was driving.

Contrary to the refusal he made in front of the Judicial Police officers, in front of the black squads he stated that he was going to Rinas to send a message to his sister.

He also claims that he was not aware of the drugs in his car, raising the alibi that other people put them in his car.

The arrest of Armando Papa was carried out as part of the "Red Field" operation, which was caught at the Rinas roundabout, where the blue uniforms located him and stopped him after being chased. Weighing 62 packages of heroin resulted in a total weight of 41 kg and 700 grams.

The narcotics were hidden in a box in the trunk of the "Benz" car that the young man was driving. The amount of seized heroin is worth over half a million Euros on the market, if it had been sold. According to police sources, the origin of the narcotics is suspected to be from Turkey.
