He said the building has serious problems, adding that there is room for transformation, while preserving its identity.

Meanwhile, the 5 finalist teams will present their architectural project ideas to the jury.

"Today we are in 15 international competitions. There are 3 competitions that are being prepared. All of them are of the highest international standards, not only from the participation of the most famous architects, but also from the procedures followed.
12 contracts signed so far, 7 others are in process.
The Palace of Congresses, the building has serious problems, there is a need for transformation while preserving its identity. The call for cooperation of the enterprise implies the development of a facility or a set of facilities near the Palace of Congresses. The goal is for this facility to arrive on time in relation to the newly organized and qualitatively re-engaged structure and for this palace and area to become another tourist destination of Tirana and the capital of cultural activities. Let's not leave an island without life, lest what happened to the former stadium happen ," he said.
