Media Mail Online has published an article about a group of Albanians who use TikTok to offer some unusual services. More specifically they offer fake British passports for 3,500 pounds. As they advertise themselves " provide super service and super fast ."
According to English media, Albanian gangs use photos of the Queen and Buckingham Palace to advertise their activities on social media. These passports include "high-quality" chips that are needed to pass border controls.
Also, passports are equipped with "watermarks, holograms and security features visible only in ultraviolet light, which are only captured by scanners during airport checks.
The UK-based agent for a gang offered an undercover Mail Online reporter a fake British passport for £3,500 and an EU passport – which can also be used to illegally enter the country – for £2,000 £.
The Albanian says: " Many people have come this way, Whatever you like. Do you like French? British? Italy ?".
The British tabloid has revealed Nik, whom it presents as the leader of the gang who had released an announcement on TikTok advertising the "business."
" Whoever is interested in European passports suitable for England, contact us ," the announcement said.
The Mail reporter, posing as someone hoping to pick up relatives in the UK, contacted gang boss 'Nik' with whom he had a video call from his apartment in Albania.
He put the undercover reporter in touch with his cousin, who revealed he now lives in Birmingham after arriving in Britain on a false passport. He then reveals that his cousin in Albania is a serious operator and has made fake passports containing biometric chips to ensure they pass the security scanners.
"On the mini-chip you have all the information – your name, your nationality, your date of birth, how tall you are, your last name," he explains.
Also, he sends the journalist a video of his cousin making the passports. Another counterfeiter advertises "the newest passports on the market with all security features" through a Telegram group.
The posts include a video of a woman's fake UK passport being made and scanned through a computer, with a caption: "English passport with super high quality chips and data displayed on system".
The client of the Albanian gang, meanwhile, says that his passport was checked carefully at the airport, including a computer scan, but "it came out okay".
According to what Mail Online reports, the gang also advertised fake British licenses, visas to Britain and could even produce birth, marriage or Covid certificates. After the denunciation, the TikTik platform has closed the accounts in question.
