When 3 years have passed since the murder of 23-year-old Florian Selimaj in the village of Sulaj in Fier, justice has not yet been decided for this event. On August 12, 2019, 23-year-old Florian Selimaj was found stabbed to death in a canal, in the place called "Kthesa e Hamili".

After the incident, the police announced that they had arrested the suspected perpetrators of the crime, but there is still no convicted perpetrator. Dukate Selimaj, the mother of Florian Selimaj, wanders through the judicial bodies to seek justice for her son.

"I have been dealing with my son's case for 3 years. I have made numerous attempts to clear up the case, as the prosecutor has not given me the opportunity to get to know anything, with any of his actions regarding this investigative matter." says Ducate Selimaj for News24.

Florian Selimaj's mother returns once again to the event of August 12, 2019 where her son was killed. She claims that the appropriate actions were not taken by the investigative bodies for the collection of evidence.

"The Police report that came to me in the file is very inaccurate, it is manipulated, I asked for an accurate report that I was at the scene and I received information from the Police during the night. There is more talk that it was found a car with an open hood, how much is said about what the Police did from the moment I called them on the phone until my son's body was found. I also asked for reasons why the Police did not search the night of the incident. Everyone were hanging around, no one was looking for my son's body. We found it ourselves, while the Police were hanging around. Serious crimes have told us that the case is solved, I have taken all the evidence to the Prosecutor's Office, I don't know what will be done ."  says Ducate Selimaj.

Florian Selimaj's mother claims that the first prosecutor who investigated the case manipulated the evidence. According to her, after the dismissal of the prosecutor from the vetting and replacement with another prosecutor, the incident was clarified.

The case for the murder of Florian Selimaj has gone to trial. With the hope that justice will act, the mother of Florian Selimaj appeals to the Albanian state for help and to the justice bodies to reveal the truth and the perpetrators to receive the deserved punishment.

"Our request has not been received, because it is "premeditated murder". I appeal to the state to protect us as family members, we do not live in the village of Sulaj in Fieri, because we have no security, because they do not catch murderers there, left on the streets. I hope that justice will punish the perpetrators." concludes Florian Selimaj's mother.
