Korça Police have reacted after the case of six children who presented to the hospital with the same gastrointestinal symptoms, after eating food at the same kindergarten.

According to the Police, Criminal Investigation specialists at the Korça Police Station have prosecuted, at large, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", a Pediatrician at the Korça Regional Hospital and the director of the kindergarten where the children were staying.

Police report that during yesterday afternoon and today, six children from the same kindergarten presented to the hospital with similar gastrointestinal symptoms.

According to the blue uniforms, the doctor allegedly did not notify the Police about the appearance of children with similar symptoms.

Meanwhile, the kindergarten director is suspected of not fulfilling her functional obligation to control and verify the food consumed by the children.
