Putin and Trump

United States President Donald Trump has announced that after a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, it has been agreed that Russia will supply the American and international markets with large quantities of diesel oil.

In a statement released by him, Trump claims that Russia will immediately send over 300,000 tons of diesel oil, while another 500,000 tons are expected to be supplied during November.

According to the announcement, this will be followed by another supply of 1 million tons, followed by up to an additional 3 million tons within a short period, depending on the state of Russian refineries.

Trump argues that Russian supplies, along with what he describes as complete American control over the Strait of Hormuz, will help lower fuel prices.

"Diesel prices for Americans and, indeed, for the entire world, will fall at a record pace and very quickly," Trump declared, emphasizing that reducing costs for American farmers, ranchers and truckers is one of his top priorities.

In the same statement, the US president reiterated that Iran will not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

However, the details of the alleged agreement, including supply terms, delivery times and the concrete impact on international markets, remain to be independently confirmed.

Also, price reductions cannot be considered guaranteed, as they also depend on global demand, refining capacities, transportation costs, and geopolitical developments.
