The coach of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Silhavy, stated at the press conference from "Air Albania" on the eve of the match with Albania, valid for EURO 2024, that he only thinks about victory for this challenge.

The 61-year-old technician emphasized that he has studied Albania well and knows that the "reds" have very fit names in their team such as Broja, Uzuni or even Asani.

“Unë besoj se skuadra jonë është me përvojë të tillë dhe e ka treguar se në ndeshje të tilla të vështira ku luhet për jetë a vdekje i ka vlerësuar dhe ia ka dalë të fitojë. Unë e vlerësoj dhe e shikoj që këtu atmosfera për ekipin shqiptar është shumë e lartë, por shpresoj që do arrijmë të fitojmë”, theksoi Silhavy.

Si vjen Çekia në këtë përballje, si është atmosfera e skuadrës?

Siç e tha edhe Soucek, ne jemi shumë të motivuar për të bërë mirë. Ne kemi ardhur këtu për një rezultat pozitiv dhe skema me të cilën do të luajmë do të vendoset në fund, por do të jetë një skemë që ne mendojmë që do të na sjell rezultat.

Si e shihni Shqipërinë?

In the first match, we saw very quality players from Albania, starting from the defense. We are informed about Albania, our opponent has a lot of confidence in himself and this is something special. Albania has players who play in Serie A, or even an attack with names like Uzuni, Asani or even Broja. So, it's a quality team and we have to be careful with the spaces, because if we make a mistake, Albania has elements that can do damage at any moment. We have studied it and we must be vigilant at every moment, but just as Albania has prepared the match, so have we, and let's not forget that we also have our strengths. Of course, the atmosphere in the stadium will be very fiery, noisy, with a large audience, but we are used to such an atmosphere,

How will you play tomorrow, what is at stake tomorrow?

Three points are at stake to qualify and we will play for those three points.

Do you think it is the most important match and is the team prepared to play such matches?

I believe that our team has such experience and has shown that in such difficult matches where it is played for life and death, it has appreciated them and managed to win. I appreciate and see that here the atmosphere for the Albanian team is very high, but I hope that we will manage to win.

The psychological situation of your team will be good to get victory?

We believed at home that we would make it and we should have made it at home. This makes tomorrow's game more difficult, but as we said, I believe we will make it.

Will you be preparing for another game system tomorrow and would you be bored with a draw?

Of course, if this was the point that would take us to the European Championship, I would accept it, with all due respect to the opposing team, we will do everything to get three points from this challenge. We have some changes in mind to make and we hope to come out with a better result than at home.

2023 is a good year for you as a coach, however the draw in Prague with Albania has brought a lot of criticism for you. Does this match increase the pressure on you personally?

Of course, this is a match to qualify for the European Championship, the pressure is clear and evident, we know that.

The health of the team is good, is the team complete?

At this moment, the 20 players and the three goalkeepers are fully fit to play in tomorrow's match.
