Today, the Superior Category in football raises the bar with the new season to have innovation, as after four phases as usual, at the end of the 36th week, the teams ranked in the first four places will face each other in a "play off" phase which will be called "Final 4".

The winning team of the champion title will be announced as the team that collects the most points in the three "play off" games. All four clubs start with 0 points and all matches will be played at the "Air Albania" stadium.

If two or more teams have equal points at the end of the "Final 4", then their ranking will be based on the final classification of the 36 weeks of the championship.

The winning team of the "Final 4" will participate in the first round of the Champions League, while the other two best ranked clubs will participate in the Conference League.

In cases where the winning team of the Cup is ranked in the first three places of the "Final 4", the right to participate in the Conference League will belong to the fourth place of the "Final 4".

As for relegation, there are no changes compared to last season. The 9th and 10th places automatically fall into the First Category, while the 8th place team will play a final with the winning team of the "play off" phase of the First Category.

The opening challenge will be the one between Egnatia and Skënderbeu, which will take place in Rrogozhin at 17:00, while at 20:00 Vllaznia hosts Kukës in "Loro Boriçi". Laçi-Erzeni (17:00) and Dinamo-Tirana (20:00, Elbasan) will be played tomorrow. Partizani-Teuta has been postponed as a result of the commitment of the reds in Europe.
