Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of Juventus and, already in that desired situation (“Lucky whoever will manage Juve”, he had said), tonight he will be in the stands of the “Allianz Stadium” to watch the match against Udinese. Starting tomorrow, he will officially take charge of the team with the objective of reviving it and taking it, at least, to the Champions League zone.

Yes, because the Champions League is central to this story: the former Napoli coach – the most sensitive part of the issue, which has caused indignation among black and white fans – and the Old Lady have reached an agreement until June 2026. An agreement that will be automatically extended, with a slight increase in salary (he will currently earn three million euros plus bonuses), for two more seasons in case of qualification to the highest European competition.

The real work, at least in the mind of coach Spalletti, has already begun. His Juve will change face, will return to a four-man defense and a classic three-man attack, where the unchanging points will be Yildiz and Conceição, to whom one of Vlahovic and David will be added (the alternative is the 4-2-3-1 formation).
