Albania loses its shine, returns to zero in FIFA rankings
Sylvinho

With Sylvinho on the bench, Albania spectacularly qualified for "Euro2024", but since that fantastic moment, the Rossoneri have lost much of the brilliance that the Brazilian gave them.

From a blessing for our country, after more than two years, Albania returns to zero, returns to the past where we had a very difficult time "breaking" teams like Latvia, strong doubts return again about the way a group with a lot of quality is being managed.

When Sylvinho landed in Tirana, he found a divided national team, in the process of transition, he brought elements like Jasir Asani, Mitaj, Daku, etc. to the national team, he managed to get the best out of players like Asllani, Bajrami, etc., but today the story is different.

After "Euro2024", everyone expected a more mature, stronger team, but the complete opposite happened, Albania began a free fall, initially falling to League C in the Nations League, while continuing with a not-at-all positive World Cup qualifying campaign, where in the first 4 matches it has only received 5 points.

The last 2 draws, against Serbia and Latvia, are very disappointing, which immediately put this journey into serious question, not to mention that more than a miracle is needed now.

This poor performance by Albania is expected to be reflected in the monthly FIFA rankings, where Albania loses two more positions, to be ranked 66th.
