Everything is ready for the start of the World Cup, which will determine the new world champion after France, who emerged victorious from the 2018 edition in Russia.

In addition to the prestigious sports result, the federations are looking with interest at the prizes that FIFA will distribute for participation in the event. As reported in the " FIFA 2020 " annual report , the prize money for the World Cup to be played in Qatar will reach 440 million dollars ( just over 425 million euros, according to the current exchange rate ).

This figure will be distributed proportionally between the participating national teams, based on the results they will be able to achieve in the competition. Each national team will receive $1.5 million before the start of the competition, as much to cover the costs of preparing for the World Cup.

Then, those who fail to make it past the group stage, i.e. the teams ranked from 17th to 32nd, will receive $9 million. Between the initial bonus and this figure, the minimum amount for each national team will equal $10.5 million.

The final figure increases as the rounds go by, going from 13 million for each eliminated nation in the 1/16 to 42 million dollars (43.5 million taking into account the bonus to cover costs) for those who will be crowned world champions.
