Cristiano Ronaldo is unstoppable even though his passport says he is 38 years old. The Portuguese striker continues to score at an impressive rate and as of today is the best scorer of this year.

He scored twice in Bosnia and Herzegovina's goal in the first half of yesterday's match against Portugal and thus reached the figure of 40 goals during this calendar year. Thus, he passed Haaland by 1 goal and has 5 more than Mbape who follow him in this particular ranking.

This is the 12th year in his career as a professional where he manages to score 40 or more goals, while his personal record is 69 in 2013.

Furthermore, today he reached the quota of 128 goals with his national team, being undoubtedly the best scorer in the history of national teams and having at least twice the goals scored with the national team of any European footballer except Pushkash, Levandovski, Lukaku, Kocish, Klose, Gerd Müller, Robi Keane and Dzeko.
