"Qualification is decided in November", Sylvinho: I will make 3-4
Sylvinho

The coach of the red and black national team, Sylvinho, appeared today at the press conference on the eve of the friendly match with Bulgaria. He spoke about the changes he will make and stated that friendly matches do not exist for him, as he considers them all important.

"I wanted to answer one more question about Strakosha. I have played 2-3 years in the Premier League and it is something fantastic. You cannot deprive a player of the opportunity to play in the English Championship. The two goalkeepers we have are very good and have performed at the right level. They have a lot of experience and will alternate, depending on the form they have when they come to the national team".

This is how coach Sylvinho started the press conference on the eve of the friendly with Bulgaria, where he clarified the rumors about a clash with Broja, but also warned at least 4 changes from the 11 starters.

Finally a friendly, after 10 months in charge of the national team. Will there be many changes to the lineup tomorrow, to play those who have received less minutes or will you try a plan B with the starters you have?

Sylvinho: The word friendly doesn't exist for me. Friendlies are just the 11 vs 11 we play against each other in training. There may be 3 or 4, or at most 5 changes. We will also respect the clubs, for players who play every three days, but of course we will not make too many changes, as it is an opportunity to try variations and continue the growth process. We have sent a man to observe Bulgaria, as we respect this match to the maximum and want to do the best we can.

What does removing the concept of friendly or official change for players?

Sylvinho: Even the players themselves understand the importance of this meeting, which the whole world sees. Everyone has the opportunity to show their qualities. I won't name names, but at least 4 players will change tomorrow.

It has been rumored in the media about a clash between you and Armando Broja. Do you have a comment on what happened?

Sylvinho: Nothing happened. He is coming off an injury of about 10 months, a very long time. He has played a little recently with Chelsea and in the last game there he played only the first half. Had a problem and came here. After trying, in collaboration with the Chelsea doctors, we decided that he is not fit to play, so he went back there to be followed by the staff of the English club. A lot of care is needed after an injury like this, so it's best to be followed by Chelsea's doctors. This is 100% accurate on what happened.

Can Albania aim for something more in Europe?

Sylvinho: We have not reached the objective yet. I have said that we have made a very positive journey so far, but the race is still open and in November, when we fully secure our ticket to the Europeans, we will start thinking about how far we can go. Until November, we cannot think about Germany, as we are not there yet.

Do you regret playing the first match in March against Poland?

Sylvinho: Of course I didn't know the team well and we worked hard with the staff to follow the players. It was a strong opponent and a good opportunity, as I saw a lot of things that we needed to focus on. Thanks to that strong meeting, I was able to get to know the players better and prepare better for the June matches.

How much do you rate Bulgaria? Can you give us the recipe for success as we can't find it?

Sylvinho: I followed something from Bulgaria, in the group matches. Two points and it's not fair, but I think it's a very important team. They defend well with a block of 5 players, with tall and physically strong footballers. In football there is no secret, but everyone must think alike, for the same direction or objective. We are on our way, happy with what we have achieved, but we know we still have a lot to do.

Are you ready to sign a new contract to lead us to the qualifiers for the next World Cup?

Sylvinho: We all think alike. We are not done with our journey and we talk every day to prepare for the two games in November. We are thinking about November, me and my staff, but also the Federation. The boys are doing very well, with a nice and strong team spirit. The players play with heart and soul, and sweat a lot on the field.
