Kylian Mbappe has reportedly been offered the iconic number 10 shirt at Real Madrid as he follows in the footsteps of Luis Figo and Mesut Ozil.
The World Cup winner inherited the number 9 at the Santiago Bernabeu when he became another Galactico in the Spanish capital in the summer of 2024.
He took over that jersey from fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema, who had left Madrid a year earlier.
Mbappe's debut season in Spain saw him record 43 goals in all competitions, helping him win the La Liga Golden Boot and the European Golden Boot.
He missed out on important trophies while winning the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. Now it is being claimed that he could have a new look for the 2025-26 season. According to El Chiringuito, Mbappe has been given the chance to take the number 10 shirt at Real following the departure of Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric.
The Croatian has worn that shirt since 2017, while it has previously been worn by the likes of World Cup winner Ozil, Portuguese superstar Figo, Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf and Danish legend Michael Laudrup.
