More than 350,000 people have signed a petition for a replay of the European quarter-final match in Germany between the home team and Spain, which ended with the Iberians winning 2-1.

It is claimed that it was the referee who gave the victory to Spain against the Germans for a penalty not awarded in favor of the latter.

"The disgruntled German fans are asking for the match to be rescheduled, because they believe that their national team has been treated unfairly. About 350,000 people signed a petition for the replay," writes SportBible.

The missed penalty in the 106th minute when Cucurella blocked Jamal Musiala's shot with his hand in his own penalty area looks set to live long in the memory of the Germans.

The English referee Anthony Taylor did not show the white spot and surprisingly the VAR system was not activated.

The petition, of course, will be…futile.

Germany said goodbye to the Euros, and the Spanish will play the French on Tuesday for the final…
