Switzerland "breaks" after penalties, England reaches the semi-finals

England beat Switzerland in Dusseldorf, qualifying further only on penalties.

The challenge started with pressure from both teams, but they couldn't find the goal in the first half, as the net was shaken only in the 75th minute by Embolo. However, the "Three Lions" did not give up and equalized after only five minutes through Saka.

Overtime there were chances from both teams, but the nets were no longer shaken, leaving the fate of the match in the hands of the penalty kick.

Of the penalties, none of the English made a mistake, while for the Swiss, the only one who was stopped by Pickford was Akanji.

Thus, England advances to the semi-finals of the European Championship, where they will find the winner of the Holland-Turkey challenge, while the Switzerland of Xhaka and Shaqiri leaves this European Championship without a single loss in regular time.
