"Karim Benzema's career in Real Madrid has been an example of work and professionalism, and he has represented the values of the club. "Karim Benzema has earned the right to decide on his future."

Benzema joined this club after a transfer from Lyon in July 2009.

In fact, his transfer cost 35 million euros.
