The famous former Brazilian midfielder, Sylvinho is the new coach of the Albanian national football team. The news is 'official' from "Supersport.al" citing sources close to the Albanian Football Federation.
As a footballer, the 48-year-old has had an excellent career, wearing the jerseys of clubs such as Corinthias, Arsenal, Celta Vigo, Barcelona and Manchester City, while since 2011 he has hung up his shoes to devote himself to training.
The first experience as a coach was that of Tites' assistant at Corinthias, while in December 2014 he was transferred to black and white Milan, to become Roberto Mancini's assistant on the Inter bench. In 2016, he became Tites' right-hand man again, this time in the Brazilian national team, while in 2019 he tried his first experience as the first coach of a well-known club.
It was French side Lyon who entrusted him with the bench, but the Ligue 1 experience was short-lived for Sylvinho, who was sacked in October 2019, just 4-5 months after being appointed. Then, in May 2021, Sylvinho was appointed coach of Corinthias, where he resisted for almost a year, after being fired in February of this year.
Sylvinho is currently unemployed and waiting for a chance to show that he is worth it as a coach, as the Albanian National Team will probably be a good springboard towards the popular European leagues for the 48-year-old Brazilian.
