Simone Inzaghi

The game of the season, for many the game worth a career. Inter will play for the Champions League victory in Istanbul against Manchester City. The coach of the black and white, Simone Inzaghi, spoke on the eve of the final.

"We know what match we have to play tomorrow. City is the strongest team in the world, it showed this even in the few losses it has had. We are proud of what we have done and what we have achieved so far. We know we have to limit mistakes and do our best."

THE JOURNEY - "We have had difficult moments and precisely in those moments we have grown the most. We have lost players for a long time, we have also lost matches, some undeservedly and others deservedly.

"We made a crazy effort and it brought us to Istanbul. We had little time to think about what we had done after securing the final because we had a Champions League qualification to win and a Coppa Italia to win. Now we understand what we have done".

ABOUT THE HISTORY - "We know we have a great opportunity. It will be very difficult, but we will try, together we will try to achieve success".

PIPPO INZAGHI – "Are you saying I won't sleep tonight? We are quite calm, I see calm. The closer the match gets, the more the tension rises. We know what this match means to the whole world of Inter, the club and our wonderful fans."

MKHITARYAN – “Yesterday had the first full training session, it feels good, but I will have to decide whether to use it during the match or from the start. Unfortunately, in some cases I did not have the opportunity to choose, given the injuries. We will make the evaluations and choose with confidence".

ZHANG'S WORDS – “His words have always given me great strength, for me and for the staff. He has always been by my side and his words have always given me great pleasure."

HAALAND - "We know the strength of City and Haaland, we will have to be good to limit not only him, but the whole team."

CITY'S DEFENSE – “They have a solid defence. They build the action in one way and defend themselves in another, but beyond the modules we are aware of who we will face tomorrow".

THREE EUROPEAN FINALS – “Roma and Fiorentina played two great games and unfortunately they lost, I'm very sorry for them. Now it's our turn, our victory would be important for all Italian football, but regardless of how the game goes, I think the fact that we reach three European finals is a big sign for Italian football."

THE FINALS SPECIALIST – “I'm lucky enough to coach players who know how to play these games. We have players who have played important matches, world champions and European champions as well as players who have played in many finals. The coach must manage the details, we will have to be good at managing them."
