Defeat to Belgium brings up the "Trump curse" theory, the network

As if the disappointment of being eliminated in the round of 16 of the World Cup at home wasn't enough, the USA now has to deal with irony and ridicule.

After the 4-1 loss to Belgium, many on social media, including former White House spokesman Anthony Scaramucci, brought to light the 'Trump curse', a theory according to which the White House chief of staff brings bad luck.

"The Trump curse is coming into play as it did for the Knicks," Scaramucci wrote, referring to the fact that in the NBA finals against San Antonio, the New York team suffered its only loss in a game in which the US president was present. Some recall that Trump predicted Kansas City's victory in the Super Bowl, a game that was actually won convincingly by the Philadelphia Eagles. Others recall Trump's presence at the Ryder Cup in golf when Europe defeated the US.
