Ben Foster, former goalkeeper of Manchester United and the English national team, has shown a bad moment that has passed during his career.

He recalls that Fabio Capello, the then England manager, did not allow him to be present at the birth of his son.

" My wife was about to give birth, her waters had just broken. I wrote to the coach and he replied that we would start training in half an hour. I asked him if I could accompany my wife to the hospital in Manchester, but he insisted on his own. He said he needed me, even though it was just friendly and I was going to play in the second half. It didn't activate me at all, I stayed on the bench for 90 minutes. So I missed the opportunity to see the birth of my son, "says Foster.
