England's possible line-up against Albania

England play their first match under Thomas Tuchel, kicking off their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign against Albania at Wembley.

The Three Lions have reached the last two European Championship finals and Tuchel, a Champions League winner with Chelsea, has been brought in to help them take the final step in a major tournament on the 60th anniversary of their only World Cup victory.

The German coach's first team has turned towards experienced figures, with the withdrawal of Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson, two strong players from the Gareth Southgate era who were lost at Euro 2024.

Albania reached Euro 2016 and Euro 2024 and a World Cup debut would be an extraordinary achievement for the team and the red and black coach, former Arsenal defender Sylvinho.
