Sensational from England: Ferrari's maximum offer for 7-time champion Lewis
Lewis Hamilton

According to the 'Daily Mail', president John Elkann and other Ferrari executives are thinking about Lewis Hamilton, the 7-time world champion, who is at the end of his contract with Mercedes. The first option is to pair with Charles Leclerc, but there is also an exchange option with the Frenchman.

From England comes the news that Ferrari has a £40 million contract ready to sign Lewis Hamilton. 'Daily Mail' explains that the English pilot is in the plans of the president John Elkann. The idea is to offer Hamilton the chance to overtake Michael Schumacher, becoming the winningest driver of all time.

The scenario is familiar. Lewis Hamilton ends his contract with Mercedes at the end of the season and until the renewal, which Toto Wolff has called safe in recent weeks, every scenario is possible. It's no mystery that Ferrari is in a rebuilding situation and Charles Leclerc's discontent gives way to market rumors.

Always according to the 'Daily Mail', one of the options is precisely the sensational exchange between Ferrari and Mercedes, that if they lose Hamilton, they would get exactly the Frenchman. The most likely option is to have a pair of Leclerc-Hamilton, which means that Carlos Sainz will leave.

Hamilton, 38, doesn't have many options ahead of him and if he wants an 8th world title, Ferrari is a possibility. Red Bull is lined up with Max Verstappen. If Mercedes regains speed, Hamilton's renewal stands, otherwise it could embrace Ferrari's project.
