The Albanian national football team learned the opponents for the European 2024 qualifiers. The Reds were drawn in group E with Poland, the Czech Republic, the Faroe Islands and Moldova. The president of the AFL, Armand Duka, also spoke from Frankfurt. For the head of football, the red and black have real chances and can be part of Euro 2024. Finally, a comment about the future of coach Edi Reja, whose contract expires this November with the red and black.
"What do you think about the draw? All the teams are good, acceptable. Group B and C were difficult, in our group the matches can be played and you can make any result. The objective to be part of Euro 2024 is real.
You are with the coach, what will be the future of Reja?
We are for the draw and then we will discuss the continuation, as we have always done with the coach. We will talk about the best of Albania. You can't guess from the draw that you've qualified, but you have to see the field. When we got the draw for Euro 2016, we thought it was insurmountable, but we did it. Now if we think it is an easy group then we will do worse than before. There are strong teams, Poland is participating in the World Cup, Moldova and the Faroe Islands are also on the rise.
Who are you most afraid of? Moldova and the Islands have a difference from Poland and the Czech Republic, if they were stronger it would be better, since their target will now be Albania.
1 million euro wins? The group of five is less demanding and I have no regrets about the sixth team because of the financial benefit, I wish we were in a group of five", said Duka.
